Pre-release information
Privacy notice
This draft explains how the current HornMe mobile app handles data. It does not settle the legal questions listed below.
Who operates HornMe
HornMe is operated by Fenton Cayless in the United Kingdom. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to info@hornme.app.
Information the app handles
- Account and access data: authentication provider identity, verified email where supplied, session records and security timestamps.
- Profile and consent data: display name, date of birth/adult eligibility, optional sex, health focus and sexual orientation, content mode, and consent or terms timestamps.
- A profile photo if one is uploaded.
- Partner invitations, relationship membership and status.
- Where enabled: purchase entitlement records, discreet notification device tokens and preferences, safety-report category and user-entered context, and Pillow Talk request metadata such as category, mode, provider/model, status and token counts.
- Operational records needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service, including deletion jobs and limited delivery/error records.
HornMe account identity is provider-specific. Accounts are not merged merely because they have the same email address.
How it is used and shared
Data is used to authenticate users, provide profiles and partner features, remember consent choices, protect accounts, support users and operate requested features. Provider involvement is conditional:
- Clerk may handle authentication when Clerk sign-in is enabled.
- Resend delivers sign-in emails when email sign-in is used, processing the recipient address and email content.
- Hosting and database providers process app data to run the service. The development environment uses Replit; production locations and transfer arrangements must be confirmed before release.
- RevenueCat may handle purchase and entitlement features when billing is enabled.
- Apple Push Notification service may receive a device token and generic notification delivery data when iOS notifications are enabled by the user.
- Replit Connectors and xAI may process the configured category/mode instructions for live Pillow Talk only when that provider feature is enabled. The current implementation requires a successful zero-data-retention preflight before a generation request, but this draft makes no blanket provider or retention guarantee.
No advertising tracker or external JavaScript is used on these public information pages.
Deletion and rights
The authenticated mobile-app deletion flow removes the live HornMe profile and sessions and queues deletion of the linked upstream authentication identity where applicable. The public website does not itself delete accounts. Backups, security/operational logs and minimal deletion tombstones may remain subject to a retention policy that has not yet been finalised. See Delete your account for an app-free request route.
Contact us to request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction or to raise an objection or complaint. Which rights and exceptions apply requires legal review.
Children
HornMe is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. Contact us if you believe a minor has supplied information.
Items still requiring review
- The operator’s complete legal identity/address and regulator registration details, if required.
- Lawful bases, special-category data conditions, controller/processor roles and international transfer safeguards.
- Final retention periods for each category, including backups, logs and tombstones.
- A complete production-provider list, provider contracts, hosting locations, cookie/local-storage inventory and security wording.
- Final rights procedure, complaint/escalation wording and policy change notification process.
